I am honored to be a spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign.  Here I will keep you up to date on my HRC activities, as well as other activities I am involved in that are of importance, and press that I receive for the activities I participate in. Please check back often.

ACTIVITIES
 

Week of  May 11,  2005:

Chuck states: “Styx will be performing 3 songs on the Today show Saturday, May 14 as well as singing the national anthem at the Mets game”.

Week of  June 30,  2002 - July 6, 2002:

New pictures in the photo gallery from the Illinois Youth Pride Festival and Disneyworld's Gay Days!

Week of  June 23,  2002 - June 29, 2002:

On June 30 Chuck will be the "Special of the Chicago Gay Pride Parade".  Chuck's car, a '65 Bentley Convertible will be the lead car for the event.  When asked by the committee to be in the event, Chuck said, "I'd be honored".  This is a major event for the GLBT community

July 25th, Chuck will be attending the Gay and Lesbian film festival.  More details on this event to follow later.

Week of  May 19,  2002 - May 25, 2002:

Chuck recently appeared at a few Styx shows in Florida and Vegas.  New pictures from his appearances are in the photo gallery.

On June 30, Chuck will also be a guest at the Pride Day Chi.

Week of  April 28,  2002 - May 4, 2002:

Chuck's interview with The Advocate is out on stands now.   He's featured in the May 14, 2002 Perspectives section on page 10.   The interview will be posted in the press section next week so please check back.

Week of  April 21,  2002 - April 27, 2002:

Chuck's name is featured on the Human Rights Campaign 2002 Coming Out Project poster.  The official press release is located in the press section at the bottom of this page.  (See April 12, 2002)  You can download a copy of the poster off the HRC web site.  The press release gives a link to the page where you may download one.

Chuck recently finished an article with The Advocate. Additional information will be posted here as to which issue his article will appear in. 

Week of  January 20,  2002 - January 26, 2002:

The interview Chuck did with Buffalo Outlook is now online.  Scroll down to the press section and view the 1/24/02 story. 

Week of  January 13,  2002 - January 19, 2002:

Chuck is working on finishing up a cyber interview with the Buffalo Outlook and soon will be working on an interview with the Dallas Voice.  

The interview that was to be ran in an upcoming Advocate issue is not due to appear anytime soon, if at all.   We will keep you posted if we hear otherwise. 

Week of  December 30, 2001 - January 6, 2002:

Week of  December 23 - December 29, 2001:

The Philadelphia Gay News and the Gay People's Chronicle recently ran the interview Chuck did with Harriet L. Schwartz.  We will try to obtain a copy of the interview to post on the site soon.

Chuck performed at the Mark & Brian Christmas Show on December 14.   Chuck plans to join Styx  to perform at the shows on December 28, 29, 30 and 31.  

Week of  November 18 - November 24, 2001:

Chuck received press in the latest OUT Magazine (at newsstands now). See the press section for more.

Billboard Magazine's November 11 issue contained a mention of Chuck's outing announcement.

Week of  November 11 - November 17, 2001:

On November 12 Chuck attended the Hetrick-Martin Insitute's (HMI) 2001 HMI Emery Awards at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.  The Emery awards honor individuals and organizations whose outstanding leadership has addressed the critical needs GLBT and questioning youth.  

The HMI  provides housing, counseling and education for gay and lesbian youth.  Many of the youth do not have families that understand them or show them unconditional love. HMI provides them the opportunity to have a safe and encouraging environment to prosper in. The HMI also run the famous Harvey Milk High School.

Chuck states, "As a former high school teacher I feel passionate about this."

Week of  November 4 - November 10, 2001:

Chuck completed an interview with Harriet Schwartz that will be published in an upcoming issue of the Philadelphia Gay News.  More information will be posted here as to when the interview will appear.

The "My Story" section of Chuck's website is almost completed and should be live on the site soon.

Chuck's interview with The Advocate is complete, however there is still not a firm release date for when his article will appear so keep checking here for updates.

Week of  October 28 - November 3, 2001:

Chuck has an upcoming interview with The Advocate, a national magazine for gays and lesbians.  More information will follow later as to when the interview will appear in the publication.

Week of September 30 - October 1, 2001:

Chuck recently completed an interview in September with Global Bass Magazine, an online publication with over 240,000 readers a month.  The interview includes him talking candidly about coming out, as well as his love of bass playing.  To read the interview [click here]

Chuck continues to help with activities with the POZ group at Northstar Medical Center and he is currently serving on the entertainment committee for various activities that the group is participating in.

Week of August 26th - September 1, 2001:

POZ Magazine will have an article featuring Chuck in the October Issue to correlate with "National Coming Out Day" which is October 11.  

On August 30th Chuck was a host for "POZ Night Out".  The event was sponsored by Northstar Medical Center and gave HIV/AIDS men a chance to talk and share about living with HIV/AIDS.  Chuck states, "It was very cool, with a great turn out."
